Today I’m sitting down with Larry Speck, to talk about his 2 roles shaping the skyline, future, and young minds of Austin.

Number one, Larry is a prominent Texas Architect with projects such as the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, the Austin Convention Center, and the FBI Headquarters in Houston. Number two, he is a professor at the University of Texas teaching Architecture and Creative Problem Solving to undergrad as well as graduate students.

With 50 publications, 42 national design awards, and 2 books, Larry is an expert in Urbanism, the convergence of Architecture with Society, and Creativity.

In the first of the 2 episodes, we talk Austin’s vision of the future and the state of its creative economy. In the second episode, we dive deep into how to apply the art of creativity in our lives in the 21st century, and also the personal qualities important for both growth and achievement.
